Fiordland Lodge

"Fiordland harmony and elegance."
Fiordland: the name conjures thoughts of peaceful Sounds, cradled in the weathered hands of soaring mountains. Millions of years in the making, the Fiordland World Heritage area is the very heart of a New Zealand South Island wilderness experience.
Hosts Ron and Robynne Peacock created Fiordland Lodge as a luxurious reinterpretation of nature. Their aim was to create a lodge experience that showcases nature and at the same time tames its rugged beauty for the discerning traveller.
Nature’s lexicon is expressed in the design of the Lodge. Glass captures the panoramic view and in turn reflects the waters of Lake Te Anau; stone walls grow from the Fiordland soil as if placed by nature and the extensive use of local timbers lends texture and authenticity.
Guests can choose from ensuite lodge accommodation or two-bedroom log cabins, which are ideal for families or small groups. At the heart, the Great Hall is an inspirational space to indulge in the Lodge’s dining experience.
Te Anau is the gateway to Milford and Doubtful Sounds and the Kepler and Murchison mountains. Ron has been a National Park ranger for over 25 years and for Robynne, the Fiordland was her childhood backyard. Together their passion and experience will inspire guests to consider guided walking, fishing and bird watching tours to touch the soul of this natural wonder.
"Exceptional New Zealand cuisine."
Fiordland Lodge’s dining room, accommodating 30 people, is open for breakfast from 7am–9.30am and dinner from 6pm–9pm. The three-course dinner menu, created by the in-house chef, changes daily, but dishes feature Fiordland seafood, lamb and other local produce, and might include delicious offerings such as penne with smoked mussels, lemon and chives; roast loin of venison on root vegetable mash with a red wine sauce; and iced Cointreau parfait.
The excellent cuisine is accompanied by fine New Zealand wines from the Lodge’s cellar, including Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Gris from Central Otago, and Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
Pre-dinner drinks are served at the fully licensed bar, and most dietary requirements can be accommodated if prior notice is given. Read more about Fiordland LodgeFiordland Lodge is suitable for honeymoon, leisure, business and romantic gateways in Te Anau
